VSS shuttle valves are used when, in a hydraulic circuit, it is necessary to convey the flow from two main lines to a third secondary line, keeping the first two separate. They are mainly used in brake circuits and pilot logic circuits. The external body is made of high strength steel and is protected from oxidation by a galvanising treatment.
It is possible to request a zinc/nickel surface treatment to increase the resistance to oxidation, in case the valve is poorly protected and exposed to atmospheric agents.
