01 / BRAND OVERVIEW

Brand overview & product scope

FILTREC is an Italian filtration manufacturer serving hydraulic and process applications with complete filter assemblies and replacement elements. Its scope includes hydraulic filtration as well as process solutions for water, oil, gas and industrial fluids, including simplex, duplex, self-cleaning and other application-specific configurations used in demanding plants and machinery.

History and brand context

Established in 1991, FILTREC developed from hydraulic filtration into a broader filtration portfolio that also addresses process, energy and petrochemical requirements. The company’s replacement-element activity is particularly relevant to maintenance teams because element identification often involves cross-referencing an installed housing, old code or competing filter reference.

Technical selection and replacement notes

For hydraulic filters, confirm housing series, flow, pressure, bypass setting, indicator option, seal and element micron/efficiency data. For process filtration, the fluid, design pressure and temperature, connection standard, material compatibility, required retention and cleaning or changeover philosophy must be reviewed before selecting a unit or element.

What information helps accurate selection?

Send the complete model or part number, machine and circuit details, operating conditions and, when available, a nameplate photo so matching can be based on recorded technical data.

Frequently asked questions

What information is needed to quote FILTREC?

The complete part number, quantity, a nameplate or product photo, and any available pressure, flow, voltage and connection data are the best starting points.

Can you propose an equivalent or replacement?

Yes, where technically appropriate. A replacement is proposed only after checking operating data and interface compatibility; visual similarity is not enough.

Is SUMY an official FILTREC distributor?

We only use official distributor or representative wording when a verifiable formal relationship exists. Otherwise SUMY is presented as an independent industrial supplier.
